Joanne brings a vast amount of executive search experience to Ambit Search, as well as a strong background in business and human resources. Her search experience is in finance and accounting at the mid-to-senior level across all industry sectors.
She joined the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Ontario in 1996 to manage human resources, after five years of managing labour relations in the healthcare sector. Her tenure with the ICAO provided her with a unique perspective and respect for the education and rigor involved in becoming a CA.
In 1999, Joanne joined a Toronto search firm specializing in the placement of finance and accounting professionals. It was the perfect move and allowed her to develop an extensive and highly successful search practice built on strong, long-term relationships. Her style is personal and she takes the time with people to provide overall career perspective and advice.
Joanne launched Ambit Search with her two colleagues in 2007. At Ambit she is able to practice executive search in a distinctly boutique environment where experience, integrity and intelligence converge.
Joanne is a graduate of the Executive Human Resources Program at the University of Toronto's Rotman School of Management as well as programs at the University of Toronto and Ryerson Polytechnic University.

CATHY LOGUE, CA, PRINCIPAL

Cathy is a Chartered Accountant with over twenty years of finance expertise, spanning a broad range of industry segments. Prior to launching Ambit in 2007, she spent several years working in executive search in the Toronto area, successfully completing mandates across all functional areas within finance and accounting. The primary focus of Cathy's practice is mid-to-executive level roles in the real estate, biotechnology and natural resource industries, although she works with clients across all sectors.
Cathy's CA background has been invaluable to her search work. Coupled with her diverse industry exposure, this has provided her with a unique perspective and ability to grasp clients’ needs. She combines a collaborative approach and a pragmatic, results-oriented mind-set, with the objective of making the right match on all sides. Cathy is fluently bilingual in both English and French, and welcomes the opportunity to work with clients in either language.
Cathy completed her Bachelor of Business Administration at Bishop's University and articled with Ernst & Young in Ottawa. Her finance career in Toronto includes a variety of roles within organizations such as Loblaw Companies and the Hospital for Sick Children.

SHERIZA PERABTANI, CA, PRINCIPAL

Co-founder of Ambit Search and a 6-year veteran of the industry, Sheriza has been recruiting finance and accounting professionals in the financial services and real estate sector since 2002.
A graduate of the Schulich School of Business in 1995, Sheriza started her career at Ernst & Young where she obtained her CA designation in 1998. Her client focus was manufacturing, retail and distribution clients. She continued her career in industry where she worked in various finance and market analysis roles at Unilever and Interbrew before embarking on her career in executive search.
Sheriza has completed extensive search work at the mid-management and senior executive levels primarily within large banking, insurance, real estate and information technology clients as well as private equity, merchant banking and hedge fund boutique shops.
With her colleagues at Ambit Search, Sheriza provides clients with in-depth market knowledge, extensive contacts and a value-added consultative approach.
