There are a lot of disposable or semi-disposable goods on the market today – items that are meant to be used once and discarded, or perhaps used for a year or two and then replaced. They are made cheaply, quickly and usually with very low standards.

This is a hands-on controller role that will be an excellent opportunity for someone with experience managing a small team, who has strong communication skills, a knack for problem-solving and process enhancement, and strong hands-on accounting skills.
Some key responsibilities include:
- Manage the monthly close process
- Review monthly financial reports for three companies, including the income statement, balance sheet, KPIs and cash flow statement
- Ensure timely preparation and submission of all governmental monthly remittances
- Implementation and maintenance of appropriate systems and controls
- Champion process improvements as needed

The ideal candidate will be a CPA, CA with 5+ years of experience in a similar role who understands and values differing opinions, is well organized and able to multi-task, likes to be involved in the day-to-day work of finance and accounting and is a confident self-starter. Excellent Excel and Word skills are essential and experience with Sage 300 or a similar ERP is an asset.
