As the company continues to grow, they are seeking a Controller to lead a team of nine. This is a hands-on leadership role reporting to the Group CFO in a business poised for significant growth. The successful candidate will be an ambitious, self-directed people person able to work both independently and as part of the broader leadership team.
The essential duties and responsibilities of this role include:
- Oversight of the portfolio reporting in compliance with GAAP and SOX
- Developing and maintaining accounting policies and procedures
- Financial reporting, commentary, and analysis
- Improving accounting and financial reporting processes as needed
- Ad hoc analysis
- Supporting business segment management teams
The successful candidate will be a CPA, CA with at least 3 years post-designation experience. This individual will have managed staff, have a curious mind and the ability to drive and manage change. A strong communicator with the ability to explain financial reports and procedures to non-finance executives is a must. Excellent Excel skills and Great Plains experience are definite assets.
