This has raised issues about Canada’s ability to protect its’ front-line workers and the general population now and when facing a second wave or new pandemic.

Certified by Health Canada to kill COVID-19, S. aureus and E. coli on N95 masks, the technology being launched by our client will help ameliorate this issue – as well as having countless other uses both professionally and personally.

To help them bring this incredible technology to the B2B market and, eventually, the B2C market, our client is looking for a Director, Business Development and Operations with a strong marketing & sales focus, experience in launching new products, and a passion for the product. This role will ultimately hold responsibility for building the capabilities needed to set the business up for success.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee go-to-market strategy – including high-level product positioning and messaging, as well as tactical product-related campaigns and ongoing product-related communications, including the development and management of an omni-channel marketing strategy (both digital and traditional channels) to grow revenues
  • Own the P&L and work closely with finance and other relevant departments to ensure accurate and up-to-date data is available; Analyze and evaluate the effectiveness of sales, methods, costs, and results
  • Work closely with senior management, engineering, and production staff to resolve any issues that arise during certification and production processes; Gather and analyze feedback in support of product performance analysis for products and continual improvement
  • Develop sales opportunities by researching and identifying potential accounts; soliciting new accounts; building rapport; providing technical information, product presentation, and preparing quotations.

The successful candidate will have the passion and drive and ambition of an entrepreneur, sound business judgment and the ability to think strategically about growing the business. At the same time, they won’t be too ‘big picture’ to execute on tactical details. Proven experience launching new products to market and increasing revenues are important qualifications, along with at least 10 years’ experience in product sales and commercialization. A university degree in Marketing, Business, or Engineering is also essential.
