This is the top finance role in the company and will work closely with the partners to drive the business and its subsidiaries forward through strategic decision making.
Key responsibilities include:
- Management of the company’s accounting and finance and IT functions, including those of multiple related entities and new subsidiaries
- Monitoring of the business model, annual budget, and forecast
- Liaise with external accountants, banks, government, and other finance-related services
- Support the development of the company’s long-term strategy
- Creation of business plans and structures for strategic partnerships
The ideal candidate is a CPA, CA with experience in the creative/entertainment industry in an owner-managed environment. Strong technical accounting and finance skills, including reporting, accounting, controls and cash management, an operations orientation, and experience working with external parties are essential. A collaborative mindset, willingness to be hands-on, excellent communication skills, people management experience, and the ability to build trust and strong relationships round-out the necessary skill-set.
